DIY Passport Photos: Save Time & Money
Gone are the days of paying $15 at the drug store for a possibly unflattering photo with bad lighting. With our Passport Photo Maker, you can take as many shots as you need at home until you are happy, and then format them perfectly for printing.
3 Steps for a Perfect Shot
- Lighting is Key: Face a window for even, natural light. Avoid direct sunlight which causes harsh shadows. Do not use flash, as it causes red-eye and background shadows.
- The Background: Stand about 1 meter away from a plain white or off-white wall. If you don't have a good wall, use our Remove Background tool first to swap in a white background!
- The Pose: Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression. Both eyes must be open. Do not wear glasses, hats, or uniforms.
Printing Your Photos
Our tool generates a 4x6 inch printable sheet with multiple copies of your photo. You can print this layout at home on glossy photo paper, or upload the file to a service like Walgreens, CVS, or Snappy Snaps to print it as a standard 4x6 photo for just pennies.
